Create and save views that you use regularly

Updated today

In Dart you can save any particular set of tasks as a view so that you can come back to them later, even if that view includes tasks from different spaces and dartboards.

In Dart, Views are different from Layouts (List, Board, Calendar, Roadmap). Think of a View as a way to see tasks across more than one single dart board.

You can access views from the lefthand column of your Dart board:

The basic view that Dart has by default is called My Tasks (also at the top of your left-hand column in Dart).

This will show you tasks across any dart board. For example, if you were in My Tasks View in List Layout, you would all of see your tasks across every project listed on the left, and the associated project icons in the next column:

Whereas, in Board Layout, you will see the project icons at the bottom of the task, underneath each title:

To change the layout in your My Tasks View, click on the layout switcher drop-down menu at the top right of the page. You can change your view to List, Board, Calendar or Roadmap layouts, and add/remove Properties, Adjust subtasks, Colour, or Group by depending on your layout. In Board and List layouts you can even group by dartboard (among other options):

If you choose to add Properties to your View, they will remain visible as you change layouts until you adjust or rest your Layout preference.

Setting Up Your Own View

If you would prefer to make your own customized View, simply choose β€œView” from the left-hand column of your dartboard. This will show your list of customized Views, including (by default) View of product roadmap:

To add a new View, simply click on the β€œ+” button on Views.

Name your View whatever you like and customize it to suit your purposes. Once you've created a View, you can do a variety of other actions, including exporting, replicating, and favoriting.

You can even manage sharing. Choose between keeping your View to yourself, inviting specific team members, opening your View to the entire workspace, or even making it public (so that anyone with a link can access your View):
