You can switch between layouts, and choose list layout, by clicking on the layout switcher in the top right corner of the application:
Also from the switcher drop-down menu, you have a few options to change what information will be visible in your list. This includes Subtasks, Group by, Hide empty groups, Properties, and Property defaults:
Subtasks
From this menu, you can choose to visualize subtasks by flattening them, indenting them, or collapsing them into the list:
Show absent parents
From the layout switcher at the top right of your screen, you can also choose a toggle on whether to show absent parents or not.
This is only relevant if tasks on the list are subtasks of other tasks. If the tasks they are subtasks of are in different dartboards or are filtered out in some way, you will be able to visualize them with the toggle on.
Group by
In list layout, you can choose to group various properties such as Status as long as those properties are enabled first.
Hide empty groups
You can also choose to hide empty groups to help you focus only on groupings that contain tasks. To do so, simply toggle the Group by button to "on":
Properties
While Title and Status will always show on your Lists, if you want to view more properties, you have the option to add them to your list layout. Add as many properties as you like from the top right drop-down menu. To view all of your properties in list layout, simply scroll left to right and you will see them as columns across the top of your list.
Property defaults
Lastly, you can set your Property defaults for all tasks created in your dart board:
Create Your Tasks
To create a new task in list layout, you can start writing a task title at the top of your list (just below the Assignee and Status filtering icons on the left), or you can hover beside your Status options right in the list. Below, for example, you can see by hovering over "To-do", a new task icon will appear:
To open an existing task, click on the task title, then, click on the open icon:
Once you click on a task, or create a new task, a window will open. You can add more information, including description, status, subtasks, etc.
Once you have all of your tasks entered into your dart board, you can filter and sort to make it easy to find specific tasks and subtasks as well.
