Use Search to find whatever you need in Dart fast.

Updated this week

To find whatever you need in Dart, try using the Search functionality.

You'll find the Search bar at the very top of your screen:

When you click on Search, the first thing you'll notice is that you will see a list of the most recent tasks you looked at and a few filter options:

You can simply type into the Search bar in order to find what you are looking for - whether it's a task name or phrase in a description. However, if you want to refine your search by using various properties, you can do that too.

Refining your search with filters

By default, when you open Search, you'll see Dartboard, Asignee and Status. By clicking on the filter icon (3 horizontal lines), you'll find other properties you can filter and search for, including Title, Description, Status, and more:

You can choose one or more properties and multiple items within the same property. For example, you can search across multiple dartboards for multiple assignees:

To save space visually, if you choose more than two items in a property category, it will show the first item and then the number of other items under that property. For example, if you chose 4 dartboards to search, you will see the first dartboard and then the number of other other dartboards included in the search parameters. To see the names of each item chosen, hover over the property's number like this:

You can remove all properties by clicking on the "x" at the top right.

However, if you have multiple items under one property, you can choose to remove them one at a time by clicking on the property to reveal a drop-down menu that lists everything that was chosen. Click on the "x" beside the item titles to remove them from your search filter.

Finding past searches

Once you've done a search, Dart will remember it as a "recent search" and show it in the drop-down menu the next time you go to search. This makes it easy to revisit past search filters.

Save your search as a view

You can also save your search as a view by choosing "Save view" button to the right of your search properties:
