Every task window will have everything you need to add information about the task itself. From your task window, you can add links, attachments, assignees, status, description, etc.
You'll also be able to track your time. Find your Time tracking icon to the right of your task window, just above the task description.
There are two ways to track time: manually and in real-time.
To start/stop a timer in real-time, go to the task, click on Time tracking, and click the "play" icon in the tracking pop-up:
Once you are done working on the task, simply stop the timer, and the amount of time spent on-task will be recorded. The record (including the date and time spent) will be recorded right on your task.
From the time tracking pop-up, you will also have the option to manually enter in time spent on task. To choose this option, click on "Add entry" (right below the timer option in the pop-up). Then choose the team member that did the task, start date, start/stop times, and end date:
Tracking across team members and time spent
You can add a time entry for each person involved and each block of time spent on the task.
When tracking, you can mix and match both real-time tracking and manual time tracking. Multiple team members can also add their time to any task (as long as they have access to the dartboard).
Each entry and start/start of the clock will show as an individual log for each team member involved in the task as they accrue. Time tracking will show the total amount of time spent on a task by default, and you can expand time tracking to view how much time was spent when, and by who:
Deleting blocks of tracked time
If you need to remove a block of time that has been tracked, simply hover over the time block and click on the "X" at the top right of the entry:
Time tracking as a property in layouts
Time tracking is one of the Properties you can choose to show in your Layouts. From the List menu at the top right of your dartboard, choose your desired layout (list, board, calendar, roadmap), and then choose Time Tracking as a Property. It will then be easily visible on your layout:
Hiding and showing time tracking
You can hide your tracking from view in your tasks if you prefer not to see it. To hide Time tracking, simply hover over the Time tracking title in any open task, and click on the three dots "..." to reveal property options. Then click "Hide property." Time tracking will no longer be visible on your tasks.
To reverse this and show the Time tracking, go to the List drop-down menu at the top right of your screen and click on Time tracking. It will appear in your task window:
