It’s a very common problem in project management to accidentally create duplicate tasks. These duplicates are often a sign that there’s either a lack of communication between between different team members, or that redundant work that may be occurring. Dart’s AI will help you identify these issues proactively so you can address them up front.

When creating a new task using the new task button, the first step is to start typing in a title. If that title seems similar and potentially a duplicate of other tasks in the workspace, an alert will appear in the bottom left corner.

From there simply click on the alert and choose “mark duplicate” if you want to create the task anyway. This will make the task but will link the two duplicates with a relation. Or alternatively if you don’t want to make the task you simply clear and discard your draft.
