It’s a very common problem in project management to accidentally (or purposefully) create duplicate tasks. These duplicates can be a sign that there’s either a lack of communication between different team members or that redundant work may occur. They can also be purposeful and helpful in expediting task creation. Either way, Dart will help you recognize them.
If you create a task that is virtually identical to an existing task in List of Board Layouts, Dart AI will alert you. This alert will appear with tasks you are actively creating.
You will see the duplicate alert as you create the task. To create a new task, click on "New task" at the top of the column to the left of your screen. If the AI senses a duplicate, a small orange duplicate icon will appear at the bottom left of the task window in the task you are creating. It will also show how many duplicates have been detected. Hover over the icon to understand what is being duplicated and where other duplicates are located:
If you hover over a duplicate in the Potential duplicate tasks pop-up, you can mark the task as a duplicate or go to the task. You can also click on Clear at the bottom right to go back to the task you are creating and continue to create. This effectively allows you to "ignore" the duplicate warning and continue with the task creation.
