AI task assistant

Use the power of Dart AI to write tasks, subtasks, descriptions, and more

Updated this week

When creating a new task, you may want to access the assistance of Dart's handy AI capabilities.

To do so, open a new task and create a title. Then, use the Dart AI slash command to open a sub-menu of AI options:

You'll be able to use Dart AI to:

  • Brainstorm (Dart AI will help you brainstorm methods to execute on the task, according to the title)

  • Break the task into sub-tasks (Dart AI will create a list of sub-tasks that make sense according to the task title)

  • Fill out properties (Dart AI will look for the most relevant properties to add to the task, including tags, timeframes, status, etc.)

  • Write a description (Dart AI will write a description based on the provided title)

Choose which option you'd like the Dart AI to handle for you and watch it populate the information for you:

Afterward, you can delete, edit, adjust, or apply any of the AI suggestions provided.

Using AI to improve tasks

Once you've created a task, you can continue to use AI to improve or enhance it as well.

Open any task and look for the task AI icon (at the top right of an existing task). Click on it to reveal some AI help options, including:

  • Fill out properties (Dart AI will fill out the relevant properties (status, assignee, due date, etc.)

  • Break into subtasks (Dart AI will break the main task into relevant subtasks)

  • Improve description (Dart AI will add, improve, and expand on the description, according to your request)

  • Do task (Dart AI will do the task for you)

Certain types of tasks (like creating an image or doc creation) can be handled by Dart AI.

When Dart AI completes the task, its activity (and any attachments) will show in the "Activity" section of the task:
