You can replicate (duplicate) specific tasks, folders, dartboards or even entire spaces.
Using the replicate functionality is helpful when you want to quickly recreate an aspect of your project that has the same details (instead of recreating it over and over from scratch).
Replicating tasks
To replicate a task, you have two options:
You can replicate a task with the keyboard shortcut cmd/ctrl + D, by right-clicking on a task and choosing replicate or by opening the task, locating the three dots in the top right corner, and then choosing replicate:
You can replicate tasks all at once by selecting them all and then going through the replicate process (right-clicking and then choosing Replicate task).
When you replicate a task, it will show below the original with "copy" in the title:
Replicating dartboards and folders
You can replicate dartboards and folders within your space. Your dartboards and folders appear in the column to the left of your screen. All dartboards will have a dartboard icon beside them, and folders have a page icon. Hover over the dartboard/folder you would like to replicate and choose "Replicate dartboard" (or "Replicate folder") from the menu:
Your new copy will show above the original, with "copy" as part of the title.
Replicating Spaces
To replicate a Space, scroll down to the space you wish to replicate (spaces are located on the left column of your dartboard). Once you locate it, hover over the title. Three dots will appear. Click on the three dots to reveal a menu. Choose "Replicate space" to replicate your entire space:
Your replicated space will show in the left column, above your original space, with "copy" in the title." It will come complete with any dartboards, folders, or tasks included in the original space.
Using the space replication functionality is useful for teams that want to create a template they can reuse again and again.
For example, if you have multiple clients or projects with the same general tasks and dartboards, simply make a space, title it "Template" and create all of the general dartboards, folders, and tasks with it. Then, whenever you need to start a new project, or have a new client, you can replicate your template space to save time.
