Roles and permissions

Dart allows you to configure roles and permissions according to your team's needs

Updated over a week ago

Dart makes it easy to invite teammates, change roles between standard members and admins and guests, and specify who has access to which spaces.

Note: Throughout Dart we use the terms "teammate" and "user" interchangeably.

Team and Roles

You can invite new users to Dart and choose their roles on the Members page in settings. You can also remove teammates as needed from this page.

To invite a teammate simply add their email address and click "Invite". Once a teammate is added you can choose their role between Admin, Member, and Guest.

The Admin role gives full workspace control, allowing the user to change general settings for workspace preferences, manage other users' roles, configure custom properties, make forms, manage plans and billing, and set up workspace integrations.

The Member role allows the user to manage their personal settings and integrations and to import and export tasks and docs.

Guests don't have access to the General space but can manage their personal settings, integrations, and export.

Permissions

You can generally manage permissions on a space by space basis. Click the three dots on a space and then choose 'Configure space'. There you can switch permissions to 'Specific teammates' and then add the specific people you want. Only those people will have access to that space.
