Show and see the task size in individual tasks and dartboards

Updated over a week ago

You can set and see the size of your tasks in both dartboard and individual task views. Here's how.

How the size property measures tasks

Sizes add up inside of subtasks. For example, if you have two subtasks of a main task, one with a size of "1" and another with a size of "2" then the parent will by default show size "3" - although you can also add more directly.

Showing size on dartboards

To see the size of your tasks on your dartboards (in list, board, and roadmap layouts; the calendar layout does not show size, although you would be able to click on individual tasks to see sizing once you set that as a defaut), choose the layout dropdown menu from the top right of your screen and then click the "+" to add the size property:

Once you have set your size as a default, in list and roadmap layouts, you will be able to change the size by hovering over the size column in the desired task you want to adjust:

Showing size by default on individual tasks

You can also show size by default on individual tasks. To do so, go to:

Settings > Properties > Size

From here, you will be able to toggle this property "on" so it is visible in each individual task. You can also choose from different size formats, including T-shirt, Fibonacci, Exponential, Linear, or Free:

Once set as a default, you will be able to see your task's size below the task title in the task window:
